Firelight Media hosted a happy hour at The Copper Still Chelsea on Sunday, November 13, celebrating the 15+ members of our community featured throughout DOC NYC 2022, as well as recent fellows and grantees from our Artist Programs.

This year, members of the Firelight Family participated in DOC NYC via a Beyond Resilience panel co-presented with the BIPOC DOC Editors group, screenings of films by Documentary Lab alumni — including World Premieres and DOC NYC Short List screenings, DOC NYC PRO presentations, and recognition via special awards and honors. For a complete list of events featuring the Firelight Media community, please see our previous Medium post.

Thank you to all who came out to celebrate our filmmaker community — including our Documentary Lab fellows and alumni, recipients of our William Greaves Research & Development Fund and our Spark Fund, individual donors and institutional supporters, as well as documentary film community allies.

You can show your support for our work — and directly benefit our growing community of BIPOC nonfiction filmmakers — by contributing to our fundraising campaign.

Become a Firelighter — a member of our generous group of individual donors — by making a tax-deductible contribution now.

Below, please enjoy a selection of a photos from the evening, with thanks to photographer Daviston Jeffers.
